Embedded Systems :
We represent three companies that supply embedded CPU's plus others that supply I/O boards suitable for embedded systems. Much of what we supply is ruggedized or able to be ruggedized. We also design rugged boards and systems that mostly end up in military systems. As such we also test those boards for compliance to various military and IEC standards. Motion Control :
Our motion control products come from DDC (Synchro/Resolver/Encoder and military motor controllers) and RTD for their PC 104 motor controllers.
Commercial / Industrial Data Comms :
Sealevel is our primary supplier of serial (RS 232/422/485/530) Sync/Async interface units. These come in PCI, cPCI, PC104, USB and Ethernet. Sealevel also supplies digital and Relay I/O in the same formats.
Underwater Systems
Our underwater systems are supplied by EDO Corporation and include the Doppler Sonar Velocity Log (installed on the Australian Naval Submarines, Mine Hunters and Hydrographic Ships) and the Underwater Telephone also in use in Australia. Contact us if you want more information.
Power Systems
We have a military range of DC to DC converters, industrial AC Inverters and from DDC a range of Solid State Power Controllers (replacements for military circuit breakers). Contact us if you want more information.
Graphics Controllers :
Configurable DSP boards targeting real-time audio, video and image processing applications for the simulation, medical imaging, machine vision, semiconductor manufacturing, military, surveillance, security, and scientific markets.
Storage Arrays :
Allied Data Systems supplies storage arrays through our Allied Information Systems Division. Our suppliers are Excel/Meridian Storage for commercial and industrial and we also have a series of rugged solid state storage available. Technologies
The following describes some of the product technologies we deal with.
MIL-STD-1553 Data Bus:
a time division serial data bus used in military vehicles (usually) aircraft to connect distributed computing systems together.
MIL-STD-1397:
a series of standards defined as the navy tactical data system (NTDS). This standard covers a wide range of data buses from serial to parallel. Used in Link 11/16 systems as well as combat systems.
Synchro/Resolver
Part of our motion control products, are generally used on military platforms for position control. Also used in robotics.
Ethernet/Fibre Channel/iSCSI/SCSI
a group of interface hardware and protocol specifications generally used in commercial environments however increasingly being used in military using ruggedized versions of the commercial products.
Link 11 and Link 16
These are two standards for tactical data transmission between military platforms. They allow platforms to add to the general knowledge in a C3I environment that is available to all platforms in the area. That is allows the building of a tactical picture providing situational awareness of friend/foe.
